FloatSys Technical collaboration with CSIM SYSTEMS PTE LTD., Singapore

SBM Offshore, market leader in the supply of Floating Energy Production systems, tapped the expertise of FloatSys  for adopting the inventory of Hazardous Material (IHM) policies and practices applicable to vessels entering EU ports into its offshore FPSO operations. This is part of a broader sustainability initiative by SBM Offshore to ensure adherence to the International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships (the ‘Hong Kong Convention’) and applies the principles of the EU Ship Recycling Regulation 1257/2013 or equivalent.

The final stage of ship design is the development of detailed working plans. These plans are the installation and construction instructions to the ship fitters, welders, outfitters, metal workers, machinery vendors, pipefitters, etc. In detailed designing stage the space allocation for various main components will be arranged according to their necessities. The procedures for planning the construction, obtaining materials and driving fabrication and assembly of the ship in the yard are the starting phases of detailed design stage and will be an ongoing process until the vessel is ready to launch.
