Naval Architect -Concept Design

FloatSys is seeking an experienced and creative Naval Architect specializing in Concept Design to join our team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking, contributing to the early stages of vessel design, from initial sketches to viable design concepts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in naval architecture principles and a proven ability to translate client requirements into cutting-edge design concepts that balance safety, aesthetics, functionality, and regulatory compliance.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
1.Lead and develop conceptual designs for a variety of vessels, including commercial, defense, recreational, and specialized marine projects.
2.Collaborate closely with the project team, including engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure design feasibility and alignment with client specifications.
3.Conduct preliminary calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies to validate design concepts and optimize vessel performance.
4.Create and present design visualizations, sketches, and technical documentation for client approval and stakeholder review.
5.Ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations, classification society rules, and industry standards.
6.Participate in client meetings and present design concepts, providing technical insights and recommendations.
7.Research and integrate the latest technologies, materials, and design trends into concept development to enhance vessel performance and sustainability.
8. Support the transition of approved concepts to detailed design and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication and smooth project handovers.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:
1)Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture
2)5-10 years of experience in naval architecture, specifically in concept and preliminary design stages.
3)Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Rhino, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and marine design tools.
4)Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, stability, structural design, and marine propulsion systems.
5)Knowledge of relevant classification society rules and international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, SOLAS).
6)Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex design concepts to diverse audiences.
7)Creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
